Di Carlo - "We must show our intelligence against Milan"

Domenico Di Carlo knows his Chievo side need to be intelligent if they are to humble Milan tomorrow.

The Flying Donkeys are on a high after last weekend's shock 3-3 draw with Juventus allowed them to move further away from the relegation zone.

But Di Carlo knows that his men have it all to do if they are to get a result against Milan.

“Milan, alongside Inter and Juventus are the kings of Serie A,” Di Carlo told Chievo's website.

“I think Milan are technically the best side in the League. It will be difficult to stop Kaka and Co.

“We must be careful not to give them too much space or play too deep. Their strength is keeping the ball and holding possession as well as passing it around.

“We have speed on our side, but it is crucial that we show intelligence if we are to shock the Rossoneri.”

Galliani - Injuries cost us Scudetto

Adriano Galliani insists that Milan would have battled for the Scudetto had they not been weakened by injuries.

The Rossoneri started the season with high hopes, but they are 14 points behind city rivals Inter and out of title contention.

Milan have been without a number of key men at various stages of the season and Diavolo Vice-President Galliani feels the absences took their toll.

“Without all these injuries, Milan would have fought for the Scudetto,” he said on the Milan Channel.

“Unfortunately, tomorrow we will be without four central defenders and stars like Gennaro Gattuso and Marco Borriello.

“It has been a big blow that we haven't been able to use Alessandro Nesta at all this year due to his back problem.

“I am hoping that Alessandro recovers soon because he has been crucial in all this team's victories.

“We have also had to do without Kaka for seven games and in three others he only played for a small part of the match.

“When we have had Kaka in the side we have averaged almost as many points as Inter. Unfortunately you tend to pay the price when you lose a superstar like him.”
